Tristan Bauer, President of Radio and Television Argentina, has confirmed that the Public Service Satellite DTT, which will complete the national DTT offering from 2012 is an open service (Free to Air DTH) and will have 16 channels.

The package will comprise a mix of public and private channels, general, sports, cinema, education and children.

The satellite DTT Argentina will soon begin test broadcasts two channels: Channel 7 and Encounter, and soon the number of channels will increase with the arrival of Paka Paka, children programming, and other movie channels and national documentaries.

Logically, the operators of pay packages have expressed concern saying the fact that he is competing directly with commercial interests.

Translated from the original Spanish article.
