Ukraine's Poverkhnost + Platform Experiencing Problems
Ukraine's Poverkhnost + platform subscribers, which offers its services via the W4 satellite (36 East), lost access to almost all programming. The signal from the DVB-S2 transponders at parameters 12.111 GHz, pol. L, SR: 27500, FEC: 3 / 4 and 12.360 GHz, pol. R, SR: 27500, FEC: 3 / 4 has been completely disabled and can not send programming.
The only activity that can be found is at DVB-S transponder parameters 11.727 GHz, pol. L, SR: 27500, FEC: 3 / 4, but there was a significant reduction in signal strength.
Reception is only possible by using a larger satellite dish (previously a 60 cm dish was enough, now it must be at least 100 cm according to data for the Ukraine). By doing this, paying customers can only watch the sports channel "Sport."
On its website, the operator of Poverkhnost + posted information about the temporary suspension of its services and apologized for any inconvenience caused. As a result of this situation, the subscription for the month of August will not be charged and customers will be informed of any further progress on an ongoing basis.
On a side-note the Poverkhnost bundle + for DVB-S2 capacity transponder 12.207 GHz, pol. R was recently disabled.
According to unofficial information, the cause of the current situation appears to be financial issues and it is quite possible that the company may soon have a new owner from Russia.
Another possibility could be piracy.
Russian NTV-Plus subscribers Trikolor TV has expressed an interest in the fate of free to air stations available from 11.727 GHz, pol. L, which include the popular TV3 and Shanson TV. It is possible that the provider of these channels will be the Russian DTH operator.
